A flexible information structure

There are two conflicting requirements for information management in biobanks. The information associated with the samples is as valuable as the samples themselves: the usefulness of one depends on the other. On one hand, biobanks need to be able to define the associated information structure, flexibly, without the need for intervention from the software provider. On the other hand, the harmonization of information means there need to be controls on this flexibility.

See you in Marseille for the ESBB?

Vitro, the company behind Bio-e-Bank, will be attending the inaugural meeting of the ESBB (EMEA Society for Biobanking and Biopreservation). We are a proud sponsor of this prestigious international society and are pleased to be associated with it as one of its founding members. Product Manager Jonathan Horan will be available for any queries about our software, demonstrations of our products and we will also be running a corporate workshop on the requisites for sample management software.

Bio-e-Bank offers total control over sample information

Information can currently be collected at three levels: Patient, Donation and Sample. Patient information can be dissociated or anonymized to protect privacy. Clinical data associated with a case or episode is usually associated at the Donation level, and the characteristics of individual samples can also be individually managed.
